Installation of ECO Cycle™ in front of Shin-Tsunashima Station in Yokohama Completed

GIKEN LTD. (Head Office: Kochi-shi, Kochi; President: Atsushi Ohira) has completed construction of two of its ECO Cycle^TM automated parking facilities (Underground Model / total capacity: 504) in front of Shin-Tsunashima Station on the Tōkyū Shin-Yokohama Line in the city’s Kōhoku-ku area. The station newly opened in March 2023. The facilities are planned to open as the "Shin-Tsunashima Station Bicycle Parking" on January 4, 2024. The project was commissioned by the City of Yokohama, and the facilities were installed by group company GIKEN SEKO CO., LTD. (Head Office: Kochi-shi, Kochi; President: Akihiro Nishigawa).

The adoption of ECO Cycle^TM is expanding, particularly in the Kanto region, and for the first time, it has been adopted in Yokohama. Including the new facilities, 48 facilities have been installed in 19 locations in the Kanto region (63 units in 26 locations nationwide). Yokohama is popular as both a tourist destination and residential area, and the area around Shin-Tsunashima Station, an area with good access to central Tokyo and Shin-Yokohama, is attracting much attention as redevelopment work is underway to construct buildings and strengthen its function as a terminal area. Riding the momentum of the results of this project, the company will increase its proposal efforts towards further adoption of ECO Cycle^TM, contributing to the development of safe, secure, comfortable and livable communities.
