1983 Exhibited at BAUMA ‘83, Germany’s international trade fair for construction machinery
1984 Undertook harbour rehabilitation in Mauritius as first overseas construction project
1986 Delivered first machine to an overseas user. Undertook construction project at Stockholm Central Station in Sweden.
1990 Opened first overseas sales office in London, UK. Undertook construction project at the University of Cambridge.
1991 Established Giken Europe B.V. in Almere, Netherlands, as first overseas subsidiary
1994 Launched a joint research project with the University of Cambridge
1996 Established Giken Seisakusho Asia Pte., Ltd. as overseas subsidiary in Singapore
1999 Established Giken America Corporation as overseas subsidiary in Orlando, Florida, USA
