A press-in machine obtains its reaction force by gripping previously installed piles in the ground, which are called “Reaction Piles”. Then, based on the reaction piles, the press-in machine installs the pile into the ground using static loading. There are several penetration modes available by using driving assistance for the Press-in Method, and appropriate mode selected will depend on the specific ground conditions and drivability of piles.
Thus, the Press-in Method is universally applicable and can be used in soft to extremely hard ground conditions due to these wide variety of penetration modes.
