GIKEN Develops New Lineup of G-Lab™ Digital Transformation Applications to Improve Efficiency and Save Labour in Press-in Construction

GIKEN LTD. (Head Office: Kochi-shi, Kochi; President and CEO: Atsushi Ohira; hereafter “GIKEN”) has developed three new applications for use in press-in construction; the G-Lab Fleet machine management app, G-Lab Site worksite management app, and G-Lab Finder technical information search app. With release planned for June 2025, GIKEN began trial operation of the apps in November 2024 while continuing to perfect the apps through feedback from worksites.

These new apps have been built on the G-Lab™ data platform of GIKEN, which enables the full range of information about press-in construction to be collected and centrally managed in the cloud. They will help companies to improve efficiency and save labour in management and other operations related to their press-in construction activities.

GIKEN is also making good progress with on-site verifications of its recently developed G-Lab Vision remote support system, while moving steadily towards implementation of solutions to social issues and realisation of a sustainable society through digital transformation. Development of these new apps is part of that process as they provide innovative solutions to social issues such as the increasingly serious issue of a shrinking workforce in the construction industry. Going forwards, GIKEN will continue utilising digital technologies to optimise the entire construction process, from surveying to design, construction, and management, while contributing to improved worksite productivity.

G-Lab™ is a data platform for cloud-based collection and central management of information that was previously spread across multiple environments. Going forwards, GIKEN plans to develop a series of services based on the G-Lab™ platform to improve the experience value for customers.

G-Lab Fleet machine management
G-Lab Fleet provides a range of functions, including maintenance scheduling and history, part replacement schedules, and closest designated factory lists in addition to owned machine lists, machine location information, and machine operating status. Providing support for machine service and maintenance, it will enable users to keep machines in good condition, reduce breakdown rates, and reduce recovery times.

G-Lab Site worksite management
G-Lab Site enables users to share construction drawings and photos and reduce labour associated with worksite management in addition to acquiring press-in data, managing worksite information by construction type and purpose, planning construction schedules, and managing progress.

G-Lab Finder technical information search
G-Lab Finder provides quick access to technical documents related to press-in construction. It also enables user to quickly find the answers to their questions via an FAQ and inquiry form.
