GIKEN LTD. (Head Office: Kochi-shi, Kochi; President and CEO: Atsushi Ohira; hereafter “GIKEN”) has developed three new applications for use in press-in construction; the G-Lab Fleet machine management app, G-Lab Site worksite management app, and G-Lab Finder technical information search app. With release planned for June 2025, GIKEN began trial operation of the apps in November 2024 while continuing to perfect the apps through feedback from worksites.
These new apps have been built on the G-Lab™ data platform of GIKEN, which enables the full range of information about press-in construction to be collected and centrally managed in the cloud. They will help companies to improve efficiency and save labour in management and other operations related to their press-in construction activities.
GIKEN is also making good progress with on-site verifications of its recently developed G-Lab Vision remote support system, while moving steadily towards implementation of solutions to social issues and realisation of a sustainable society through digital transformation. Development of these new apps is part of that process as they provide innovative solutions to social issues such as the increasingly serious issue of a shrinking workforce in the construction industry. Going forwards, GIKEN will continue utilising digital technologies to optimise the entire construction process, from surveying to design, construction, and management, while contributing to improved worksite productivity.
■ Promotion of Digital Transformation by GIKEN
Founded as a company devoted to controlling construction pollution, GIKEN has continued to develop and provide new machines, construction methods, structures, and services based around press-in technologies. Its aim has always been to solve social issues related to the changing times, including the construction pollution of vibration and noise, and natural disasters that are becoming more intense every year. The company is currently promoting full-scale utilisation of digital technologies to increase the speed of problem-solving and expand the fields in which they are used. Please refer to the GIKEN website for more details on these initiatives. (Japanese only)
