Construction of two ECO Parks, manufactured and sold by Giken Ltd. (CEO: Akio Kitamura), has been completed at Park24’s new head office building in Nishi-Gotanda, Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo, Japan.
Park24 is Japan’s largest operator of parking facilities, and operates in Australasia under the Secure Parking banner. ECO Park was selected to achieve Park24’s vision of “harmony of people and cars”. ECO Park’s space-saving, high-capacity designs, speed of delivery and safety were evaluated as the reasons for selecting the ECO Park solution.
To meet the demands of increasingly congested urban areas, various types of vehicles are accommodated including SUVs. Installed directly under Park24’s new office building, the installation embodies Giken’s concept of “Cultural Aboveground and Function Underground”.
The two ECO parks accommodate a total of 100 vehicles, 50 of which will be open to the public on an hourly basis as well as to use by rental and car sharing companies.
Demand for ECO Park is expected to grow globally as urban renewal gathers pace. Giken will continue to promote its technologies of ECO design and Implant Construction as a solution for global urban renewal challenges.
