Steel tubular sheet piles provide greater properties best suited to construct both laterally and vertically stronger structural walls than other steel sheet piles. By varying pipe diameter, steel thickness and interlock type, the most effective design of wall for the projected structure is possible. For example, the section modulus of tubular sheet piles with P-T interlocks varies through a range of 1,670~19,200cm3/m, c.f. the maximum 5,066cm3/m of U steel sheet pile (Corus L6-138.7kg).

Weight Ratio of Pile Properties |
Suitable tubular sheet piles are cateorized in to four major groups according to the range of the dedicated Tubular Piler models. There are D500-600mm for Tubular Piler model PP150, D700-900mm for PP260, D1000-1200mm for PP300 and D1300-1500mm for PP400. The property distribution of tubular piles with P-T interlock is shown below.
With recent strong environmental awareness, all different industries and society are working together to attain the sustainable society within this 21st century. In order to realize Green Construction in our industry, a brand new approach to integrate both pile design and installation methods has to be carried out by means of eco-designing.
