The Five Construction Principles

Advantages of Press-in Method

If we analyze the various parties involved in any construction work, we can categorize them into three main groups: the client, the contractor and the general public. The ideal situation is one where all three parties are in agreement and everybody is satisfied with the successful outcome of the construction work. However, problems arise when one of the parties becomes a victim of some imbalance in this relationship. The conventional construction methods on the principle that more is paid for less efficient work are no longer appropriate to present-day society. The universally acceptable construction method has to embody the Five Construction Principles that are essential for all construction works.

Balancing the principles in equilateral pentagon

It is conventionally difficult to maintain the above five factors equally. Considerations on safe operations sometimes are ignored at the construction site due to an excessive concern for cost. It is imperative to check and balance the Five Construction Principles during all stages of construction, i.e., planning, design and construction stages. Every factor closely correlates to the other factors. Even when a single factor is ignored, or given less emphasis, a balanced pentagon of the Five Construction Principles will neither be achieved nor maintained.
