Giken was established in January 1967 in Kochi prefecture, Japan to supply construction solutions preventing environmental damage. In 1975, the world's first reaction-based hydraulic press-in and extraction machine the "Silent Piler" was developed to provide a means of silent and vibration-free piling. To build upon the success in Japan, Giken is spreading its silent piling technologies in Europe, South East Asia and USA. Giken's activities cover the whole process of construction solutions including proposals of new construction methods, development of machinery to practically perform the methods, and execution of construction works in actual projects.
